Description: Project DENN is an acronym for a DEcentralized News Network. It’s focus is on combating fake news while also giving to journalists the ability to have access to faster broader and more valid content and to protect their IP. To do that we employ the blockchain technology and combine it with the c2pa standard. We develop a mobile application that enables users to capture content like photos and videos and embed metadata to it (like geolocation and timestamp), to ensure trust of content. The user can then upload the content on the DENN platform, where journalists have access, to find faster, broader and more valid news material and information. It is like Associated press or Reuters but our source of data are citizens instead of journalists. We have collaborated with major research and journalistic entities in Greece and we are raising our first round which will help us fuel our pilot.
