Description: PLUSINDES SL was born in 2014 from a research group of industrial and computer engineers, together with low vision patients, with the mission of providing them with new technologies solutions based on Augmented Reality SmartGlasses, to facilitate their daily life, as well as to help optometrists and ophthalmologists in the study of the patterns and trends of the pathologies that lead to low vision. RETIPLUS is a technological visual aid that improves the quality of life of people with low vision pathologies. The SmartGlasses have a camera that captures what the user has in front of them, the software processes these images calibrated by the specialist, and presents them in real time within the screens of the Smartglasses on the optimal area for the patient. This is what we call the “RETIPLUS digital eye test” on the SmartGlasses. The “RETIPLUS digital eye test” to optimize the “remaining vision” of the patient must be carried out by RETIPLUS Certified optometrists (RCOs). RETIPLUS SYSTEM is based on the patents of invention registered under ES2542804 (Spain) and US2017/0038607 (USA), with SW algorithms registered in the United States Copyright Office (USCO). Validated by a clinical trial at hte Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM).
