Description: ARTIS Development is a startup founded in November of 2021 which tries to bring artificial intelligence to the medical environment. Currently, it has developed a software tool called FocusedON that uses artificial intelligence to analyze computed tomography images. This solution tries to personalize both nutritional and oncological treatments of oncological patients. For doing so, FocusedON provides to the clinicians information related to the body composition of their patients and their resting energy expenditure. This solution has been validated in multiple clinical trials where the results obtained have shown the necessity of using FocusedON during the daily clinical practice. In order to reach this goal, ARTIS is in a financial round to obtain the necessary certifications to sell this software in the United States and in the European Union. Because of that, ARTIS Development has to get the certification provided by the FDA and the CE label respectively. ARTIS Development has been considered as a Startup of the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and, at the end of June, it will sign a collaboration agreement with an important Spanish research institute.
